My day-to-day work covers the front-end stack. I’m comfortable with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, React and other front-end and server side JavaScript frameworks.
Until 2015 I worked for a a creative design agency as the Creative Services Manager responsible for:
- designing and building full-stack websites
- making strategic business decisions
- managing a team of developers
- setting up servers and infrastructure
- liaising with clients
From 2015 until 2019 I worked as lead front-end developer role in the public sector, pushing the boundaries on what is possible policing online and internal digital services.
I then moved to a role as Senior UI Developer at the UK’s leading special interest content and platform company.
I now work for the Bennett Institute for Applied Data Science.
Outside of work I try to engage with the local tech community at meet-ups and conferences.
